The Nike Kyrie 4 Wheaties is a nod to the limited edition cereal box that features both Irving and his alter persona Uncle Drew, which is also a tribute to the film "Uncle Drew" releasing in June. Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics was spotted rocking this rare pair during Game 3 against the Sixers, and the sneakers sport a bright orange upper with white and blue accents. Finally, a brown gum rubber sole with white splashes to look like cereal and milk completes the design altogether.
To celebrate Kyrie Irving's just-announced Wheaties box, Nike's readied a special pair of Kyrie 4s, but they won't be easy to come by.
The Swoosh created a rumored 100 pairs of a special Kyrie 4 "Wheaties" colorway. The limited sneakers take their colors from the cereal box with a bright orange upper accented with white branding and blue borders. Down low, the outsole combines brown gum with white splashes, presumably to mimic the look of cereal and milk.
Irving's Wheaties box was unveiled today and features the Boston Celtics star on one side and his Uncle Drew persona on the other. The box will begin arriving at stores this month. Meanwhile, the Uncle Drew film will be released June 29.
